Our
Approach

Anchored in Georgia, Fair Count is a nonpartisan, 501(c)(3) working to strengthen the pathways to greater civic participation in communities that have been historically undercounted in the decennial census, underrepresented at the polls, and torn apart in redistricting.

“I live in a rural community that received no voting attention, except for that provided by Fair Count. . . it was as though we were not here, or didn’t matter.”

On November 8, 2021,
365 days before the
Midterm General Election,
We Launched Vote-365.

Unlike traditional “here today, gone tomorrow” organizing, we have hired our organizers from the communities we serve, and we have built a grassroots network throughout Georgia. We work hand-in-hand with community leaders, local faith institutions, and civic allies who are aligned with us on the importance and dignity of rural communities.

Guided by data and empowered by the largest Fair Count staff yet, Our Vote-365 initiative is targeting rural Georgia and so far we’re executing our multi-pronged education, information, and engagement efforts with an expanded passionate staff that more than doubles our capacity.

We’ve organized basketball tournaments in Buena Vista, cook-outs in Sylvania and Homerville, pop-up vaccine clinics in Ashburn, and more. To ensure voters have the necessary information to make their voices count, we are working hard to reach our universe whether that’s by phone, mail, or a knock on their door.

Our democracy is stronger when we all participate. Georgia voters showed up and made their voices heard in recent elections, and we’ve heard from Georgia voters who are excited and ready to participate in 2022! We’re organizing year-round because Georgia Voters are here to stay.
